When it comes to celebrities and plastic surgery, people are often very quick to judge those that go under the knife. It is often believed that plastic surgery is a decision based on vanity alone, while this may appear to be the case often it is far from the truth.
Dulce Candy’s plastic surgery was probably a big surprise to her followers, after all a beauty guru should be happy with her own appearance. The fact is, the Dulce Candy plastic surgery is a result of her being unhappy with how she looked, but is there more to it than simple vanity? At the end of 2013, Dolce Candy published a video on her YouTube channel explaining what plastic surgery she had and what caused her to have the procedures.
THE BOOB JOB
This was the first plastic surgery procedure Dulce had and the reasons behind it are actually quite interesting. She goes to great lengths in her video to explain that, growing up, she had never liked the thought of having ‘big boobs’. What changed her mind? Having a baby! Anyone who has been blessed with motherhood will know how much a pair of boobs can grow, they get heavy and uncomfortable but you get used to it.
Once the baby is born, and breastfeeding has stopped, they tend to shrink back to pre-baby size. This is what made Dulce decide to having a boob job. She hadn’t missed what she hadn’t had before the pregnancy, but once she had bigger boobs, then she wanted them permanently. So Dulce went to the surgeon and the surgeon obliged and gave her back her D sized boobs. As you can imagine, this caused a major stir when she was photographed after surgery, with many people criticizing her decision.
THE NOSE JOB
It was 2013 when the Dulce Candy plastic surgery story continued. After the success of the boob job, Dulce decided to get her nose looked at with a view to making it narrower and removing the bump on the bridge of the nose. Again, the surgeon obliged and Dulce emerged from surgery with a very straight and narrow (but also swollen) nose and two very bloodshot eyes. When she made her video, her nose was still slightly swollen, but it does look good. Did she need to have it done? That would depend on who you ask, many people would say that she didn’t, but she obviously felt that she did and that is what really matters.
When celebrities have plastic surgery what concerns people is the effect it will have on their fans and followers, what message are they sending in their quest for perfection? When it comes to the Dulce Candy plastic surgery and the influence it has had on her fans, I hope that they are confident enough in themselves to realize that plastic surgery is not always the answer to a ‘problem’ seen in a mirror.
