Connie Francis’ life is nothing less than a high-octane drama series with multiple twists, turns and tragedy. In 76 years of her life, this famous American pop singer of Italian heritage from 50s and early 60s has seen the worst of life with the murder of her beloved brother, troublesome relationship with her father, a brutal rape, four failed marriages, manic depression with institutionalization into 17 hospitals and losing her voice to a plastic surgery procedure, Connie Francis has seen it all.
The singer who met with her first success in 1957 with a duet single ‘The Majesty of Love’ and ‘You, My Darlin’ You’ after two years of struggle and failure. The song was a success and reached No 93 on Billboard’s Hot 100. And then came ‘Who’s Sorry Now’, which Francis was not keen to record and had taped only at her father’s insistence. The single first went unnoticed as predicted by the singer but then reached No 1 on the UK Singles Chart and peaked at No 4 in the United States. From thereon, Connie Francis didn’t look back and for the next four years, she was voted the ‘Best Female Vocalist’ by American Bandstand viewers. Connie Francis enjoyed huge success for more than a decade.
The 70s came as the most treacherous years for this popular singer for various reasons. In 1974, she was raped at a lodge and was almost dead of suffocation due to the heavy mattress thrown upon her. Then came the nasal surgery in 1977, when she lost her voice. It took several rounds of corrective surgeries for Francis to get her voice back. She also had to take voice lessons to start singing again. The 8os was no better when her brother was killed and the singer had been sent to mental hospitals to be treated for manic depression. Gradually, her career went down the hill. However, amidst all these tragedies, the rumours of Connie Francis plastic surgery also went stronger.
Connie Francis plastic surgery speculations turned out to be true when the veteran singer lost her voice due to one of her many nose jobs. Her nose has been worked upon several times to give her the current one, which we don’t find impressive either.
FACELIFT & NECKLIFT
76 years old, Connie Francis’ facelift and necklift procedures are more than obvious on her face. However, it seems that the pretty singer from 50s has overdone it. Her face may not have wrinkles on it, and the skin may appear taut, Connie’s face appears slightly disfigured.
