Lizzo was born April 27, 1988 in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Texas. At the age of 14, she already founded her first group and proved an undeniable talent. She studied flute at the University of Houston but after the death of her father, young Lizzo went through some tough times. At one point, she was homeless, living in her car, while trying to jumpstart her musical career.
